About Me
Hi, I'm Jackie Waldman.
I'm a Certified ADHD and Executive Function Coach,
a parent, a retired teacher, …and someone diagnosed with ADHD as an adult.
I bring a unique foundation in both personal insight and professional credentials, to support you and your loved ones.
Here’s my story.
My journey began with the challenges I faced as a student.
The work itself didn’t feel difficult, but I struggled to focus, stay organized, plan ahead, and get started on assignments. Still, I managed to get by and eventually landed my dream job as an elementary school teacher.
I spent over 30 years teaching in NYC public schools, working with both general and special education students. The work was demanding, but I loved it and took pride in supporting my students while managing the many responsibilities of teaching.
Then came parenting…
Balancing a full-time teaching career with parenting brought back many of the same struggles I experienced as a student.
My own children showed similar challenges, and so did many of my students.
This sparked a deep desire to understand more. I dove into learning everything I could about ADHD and Executive Function, not only to support my kids and my students, but also to better understand myself.
Eventually, I was formally diagnosed with ADHD and suddenly, everything made sense.
In 2015, I began my training through the ADHD Coach Academy (ADDCA), and later earned my ACC credential through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and my CACP credential through The Professional Association for ADHD Coaching (PAAC).
In 2021, I retired from teaching and fully stepped into my new mission: Coaching, parent training, and teacher training.
This work is my passion.
